Process Engineer / Field Engineer Water AS
Location: Western Norway (with travel along the Norwegian coast)
Type: Permanent position
About Water AS
Water AS develops and delivers water treatment solutions for the aquaculture industry — delivered as modular systems to wellboats, processing plants, and fish farming facilities. Aquaculture is one of Norway's most important industries, and it's in the middle of a green transition. Demands for water treatment and discharge control are increasing rapidly, and the solutions needed don't exist off the shelf. That's where we come in. We're building the technology that enables the industry to keep growing — on nature's terms.
The Role
You'll be our person in the field. That means you install, operate, troubleshoot, and optimise water treatment systems at customer sites — often on board wellboats or at processing facilities along the coast. You'll work closely with our CTO and technical co-founder on development, but you need to stand on your own two feet when you're out with customers. When something isn't working, you find the solution. You own the problem until it's solved — whether that means troubleshooting a process on a wellboat, calling a supplier, or coming up with a fix no one's thought of before.
Why This Role
The aquaculture industry generates over NOK 100 billion annually and is growing fast — but faces challenges in environmental impact, discharge, and sustainability that must be solved for that growth to continue. We're early movers with technology that addresses this head-on. Join now, and you'll help shape a company that could have a major impact on how the industry manages water in the years ahead. This is a chance to combine hands-on engineering with real impact in an industry that needs it.
